- Abstract
- The Indo-Malayan genus Silvestri, 1912 includes 16 species described from Indonesia, northern Vietnam, Myanmar, Thailand, northeastern India, Nepal and southwestern China. A new species of this genus, sp. n., is described from southern Vietnam; it belongs to the subgenus Song, Mendes, Huang, 2012, which includes only one species, Song, Mendes, Huang, 2012, from northern Vietnam. These species differ in the color of the compound eyes, the ratios of the distance between paired ocelli to the total width of the eyes, the width of the paired ocelli to their length, the relative length of the last and penultimate articles of the maxillary palp, the styli and coxites of the abdomen, and the number of articles in the gonapophyse of the ovipositor.
